Sarah

Sarah is a barrister who obtained a First Class degree in History, a Distinction for the GDL and an Outstanding for the BPTC. She was awarded numerous prizes and scholarships for her educational achievements. She has tutored extensively in criminal law at Bloomsbury since 2011. Sarah successfully completed pupillage at a common law set in 2013 and went on to practice as a tenant in the same chambers for 18 months. Her areas of work included crime, employment and immigration. Following this, she worked in civil litigation for two years as an in house barrister.

By Lincoln’s Inn, she was awarded the Lord Haldane scholarship, the Lord Denning Scholarship, the Hardwicke Entrance Award, the Lord Woolfson Pupillage Scholarship and the Buchanan Prize. At City University, she was awarded the The Everard Ver Heyden Foundation Prize for overall performance on the BPTC and the British Academy of Forensic Sciences Prize for best performance in Advanced Criminal Litigation. Prior to being called to the Bar, Sarah interned in the Europe and Central Asia division of Human Rights Watch where she worked predominantly on the Baha Mousa Inquiry. She also spent three months gaining further criminal law experience at the Office of the Georgia Capital Defender in Atlanta working on death penalty cases.
